To create a primary tech's schedule you simply drag and drop jobs into the desired order. This a a great scheduling tool for companies that want to prioritize their jobs and service calls but would rather not assign discrete times.

  • Wintac's innovative Applications tool has been dramatically enhanced with powerful scheduling and work order creation capabilities. You can now build a single Application consisting of multiple Task Groups - each one of which is used to automatically create a work order for a specified job date. Furthermore, you can apply the Application globally to multiple customers at one time. So, for example, let's say you have a lawn care business and you want to schedule a four-stage fertilizer plan for a group of customers. You can now create a reusable application consisting of a Task Group and associated Job Date for each stage. Wintac's work order management features are the most versatile in the industry. Look what's new:

  • You can now optionally include the price and amount of line items on work orders.

  • A new print option allows you to include a list of all overdue invoices, including the dates and amounts, on work orders for that customer. This is vital if you would like your service people to be aware of any outstanding balances before servicing a customer.

Wintac's POS capabilities have been significantly enhanced to better support your over-the-counter sales transactions.

  • Point-of-sale processing now supports payments by credit and debit cards via the X-Charge card processing service.

  • You can now specify the number of copies of a receipt to print on point-of-sale transactions.

  • You can now cancel out of the point-of-sale receipt window.

Equipment Service Tracking   (Wintac Pro edition only)

Wintac's equipment tracking features have always been outstanding. With new reporting options, it gets even better.

  • The Equipment Service History Report now has an option to print a summary of each service call by excluding the work description.

  • The Equipment Warranty Tracking Report now has an option to group the report by customer and, within customer, subgroup by job site and, within job site, sort the equipment list by installation date.

  • The installed equipment pop-up window at the customer screen now includes the equipment manufacturer field.

Inventory Management

Check out these time-saving enhancements to managing both your inventory and non-inventory items.

  • The Inventory window now has five user-definable fields available for each item.

  • The Inventory window's Adjust Item tool has been enhanced with an option to globally change the item type (e.g. material, labor, equipment, etc.) specified for a filtered range of items.

  • You can now set a default item type for Wintac to automatically assign whenever you add a new item to inventory.

  • The feature for tracking costs from multiple vendors on a single item is now accessible even if you do not have the Track Inventory Value option activated.

  • The feature for setting customer-specific pricing on your inventory items has been enhanced to allow you to also set customer-specific costs.

  • Inventory label printing has been enhanced with an option to print the item's UPC code, rather than the price, on the label.

  • The Job Cost & Profit Analysis report has been enhanced with an option to include each job's total sales tax amount on the report.

  • The Budget Analysis report has been enhanced with an option to include additional detail on each line. Specifically, the complete customer and job site addresses appear, along with the total cost, total price, profit (or loss), and profit (or loss) margin of each job.

Customer & Job Site Manager

Track your customer and job site information even more effectively with Wintac 2011.

  • A new Balance hyperlink on the main customer screen pops up a window showing the customer's invoice aging summary on balances that are current, 1-30 days overdue, 31-60 days overdue, 61-90 days overdue, and over 90 days overdue.

  • The Contacts hyperlink on the main customer screen now displays in red if any contact records currently exist for that customer. One of the year's most requested enhancements!

  • You can now email letters to anyone in a customer's contacts list that has an email address entered.

  • You can now activate an option that tells Wintac to automatically fill in the customer notification fields on the main customer screen whenever you add a new customer. Specifically, Wintac will enter the number of days between notifications based on a user-defined value, and then calculate the Next Notify Date based on that value.

  • The Customer Notification Schedule report has been enhanced with an option to include the contents of the customer notebook. In addition, you can now filter the schedule by limiting to any or all of the customer user-defined fields.

  • The Edit All Customers window for globally modifying aspects of your customer data now has the ability to filter the changes by limiting to a County.

A/P & Checking Manager

More flexibility and options for managing Accounts Payable, Vendors, and your user-defined Account Registers.

  • You can now designate a specific non-default printer for check printing. This means that you can now have Wintac print checks on one printer and reports, forms, and letters on another printer. One of the year's most requested enhancements!

  • Printing deposit slips has been significantly improved. Multiple receipts paid by a single check are now automatically combined into one deposit entry on the slip. Also, separate cash receipts are totaled and combined into one deposit entry on the slip.

  • A new password security option allows you to specify, on an individual basis, which of your user-defined registers require an administrator-level password to gain access. Additionally, you can limit access based on the account type of the register - either asset or liability.

  • A new password security option allows you to require an administrator-level password to see dollar amounts of transactions in the A/P & Checking Manager registers.

  • You can now transfer transactions from one register to another by selecting a menu option from the screen's File menu.

  • The Local Tax withholding field in the Payroll Manager is now user-definable. So, if the employee is not subject to local tax, you can use this field for any alternate withholding from the employee's wages.

  • You can now set a System Option to prompt users for confirmation that they want to exit Wintac when they click the red X at the top right corner of screens.

  • You can now create a new company database based on the contents of an existing one. The new database will include your customers, contacts, vendors, employees, and work history, while excluding all financial data.

  • A new data export utility program is included with Wintac 2011 for exporting work history data to Microsoft Excel.
